Bring me in. I will understand the problem quickly, find where momentum is being lost, and work directly on the sales, marketing and communication that turns attention into revenue.
Small and growing businesses are operating in a market where every wasted lead, vague message and stalled decision costs more than it used to. I work across the commercial chain instead of treating sales, marketing and communications as separate problems.
I can get close to a business quickly. I ask direct questions. I listen. I find the friction. Then I help fix it.
Experienced enough to see the pattern. Hands-on enough to do the work.Weak pipeline. Poor follow-up. Deals drifting. Inconsistent prospecting. A team that needs direction. A founder doing too much of the selling.
I work from first contact through close: targeting, outreach, discovery, qualification, pipeline discipline, negotiation and live deal strategy.
Good business, unclear story. Too much activity. Not enough response. Marketing and sales pulling in different directions.
I strip marketing back to the commercial job it needs to do: make the right person care, understand the value and take a useful next step.
Complex offer. Flat messaging. Reputation work. Important conversations that need to sound credible, human and clear.
I help businesses explain themselves properly. Customer communication, executive messaging, outreach, PR support and commercial narratives without corporate filler.

Commercial consultant
I am originally from the UK and have built my career in Canada across sales, marketing, technology, healthcare, payments, media and business development. I now live in Prince Edward County.
My background started with journalism and interactive media, then moved through technical support, local media, management and increasingly complex commercial roles. It means I tend to approach a business from several angles at once: the system, the message, the customer and the number.
I like the human part of business. I also like results. Those are not competing ideas. Good sales is understanding. Good marketing is relevance. Good communication is trust. Closing is simply knowing when enough value has been established to ask for the business.
Outside work I cycle, make music, DJ and spend a lot of time with my dog Freddy. Prince Edward County suits me because it still makes reputation tangible. People remember who was useful, who followed through and who treated them properly.
Different industries have made me more useful, not less specialised. The pattern underneath good commercial work travels remarkably well.
Digital healthcare, practice-management technology, market development and consultative sales in a sector where trust, privacy and operational value matter.
Positioning, marketing, outreach, lead engagement, reputation, cloud-brokerage education and commercial follow-through.
Senior sales, team leadership, advertising, business funding, research and business development. A broad commercial education in how people evaluate value, risk and trust.
The earlier work still matters: solve the problem, understand the audience, explain things clearly and do not lose sight of the person in front of you.

were still optimistic about their next 12 months.
My read: there is still opportunity everywhere. But customers are more deliberate and businesses have less room for wasted motion. Be easier to understand. More relevant. Better at following up. Better at asking for the business.
Commercial discipline matters more when costs are high and customers are deliberate.
